This is one of my computer graphics class project. I made Scotty3D, a software that contains mesh editing, rendering, animating in 3 months.
Bevel, Collapse, Triangulate
The software provides beveling collapsing and triangulating options and the whale tail is made by me using the software.

It also have the ability to do path-tracing and render out lambertian, glass, mirror materials within lighting environment.
You can key frame the transform or rigging to make animations.
